We are thrilled to announce our upcoming wedding ceremony in the breathtaking Italian Dolomites! Your presence would mean the world to us, but we completely understand the challenges of travel. We plan to travel around Italy some more and anyone is welcome to join! Nothing is official but we are thinking about visting Verona, Lago Garda, Lago d'Iseo, and Cinque Terre. Our return flight to the US is on October 2nd from Milan.
Lodging

Natura Boutique Chalet
September 14-18
We have booked this boutique hotel near Dobbiaco in the heart of the Dolomites. It's where we plan to base ourselves from September 14th through 18th. Room rates will be ~100€ per person per night (200€ per couple) and include breakfast. If you'd like to stay here with us, talk to Maddie or email info@chaletnatura.com to make your booking.
The Casual Party
If you cannot make it to our wedding in Italy, we are planning to perhaps have a more casual event in California to celebrate. This event is still TBD and will depend on a few factors, but if an event is happening, we'll update this place with that info.

FAQ
Where should I fly into?
The closest airports to the Dolomites are Venice, Innsbruck, and Verona. Each will require a few hours drive or bus ride into the Dolomites. We recommend renting a car for easily exploring the mountains while you're there. You can also fly into another European city and then catch a cheap flight to one of the closer airports, or take a train. We are flying into Milan on Sep 11th (arriving on the 12th).
When should I book our flights?
Whenever you'd like! We booked Flight SK 936 from San Francisco to Milan on September 11th at 7:40 pm, arriving on September 12th at 7:15 pm (with a layover in Copenhagen).
What will the weather be like?
The average daytime temperature in September is 68° F / 20° C. These are the mountains, however, so the weather can be hit or miss.
What will the hike be like to get to the ceremony?
We are planning to have the hike be relatively easy to get to the ceremony site. The Dolomites have lots of great views that are easily accessible by car or Gondola, so don't worry about this one being too extreme.
What should I wear?
We recommend you wear semi-formal clothing with comfortable footwear. You can also opt to hike in different clothes and then change into something more formal when we get to the ceremony. We will be taking some group photos, so just keep that in mind when choosing an outfit. Maddie will be hiking in a wedding dress with hiking shoes and Nico will be hiking in a suit with hiking boots.
