There are some weddings that just stay with you. Jordan and Olivia's day in Lajas, Puerto Rico was one of them, and honestly, from the moment I arrived at Hacienda Los Pablos, I knew we were in for something really special.



If you've never heard of this venue, let me paint a picture for you. Nestled in the hills just outside of Lajas on the southwest coast of Puerto Rico, Hacienda Los Pablos is 30 acres of pure magic. We're talking lush tropical landscaping, open-air living spaces, a seamless pool, and exotic animals roaming the grounds. There's something about photographing a wedding where guests might wander over to meet an alpaca or spot a camel that just sets a totally different, unforgettable tone. It's one of the most beautiful properties I've ever had the pleasure of shooting at, and the color palette of the florals made it even more stunning. It's not your average venue, and Jordan and Olivia are not your average couple

The Day Before


Maddie and I got to stay at Hacienda Los Pablos the night before the wedding, which made the whole experience even more special. The afternoon was spent wandering the property and scouting portrait locations while Jordan, Olivia, and their friends hung out by the pool. That kind of relaxed, low-key time with a couple before the big day is something I really treasure. It's always nice to spend time with my couples in a more causal environment as it makes everyone more comfortable especially when in front of the camera!

That evening, the rehearsal dinner was something else entirely. Calzada, a local pizza vendor, made handmade pizza right there on the property and the whole thing had this casual, communal energy that fit the hacienda setting perfectly. I was there shooting the whole dinner as part of the package and it was one of those nights where you almost forget you're working. I'd highly recommend hiring Calzada for your wedding in Puerto Rico! The pizza was incredible.

Getting Ready & First Look


The morning started with the girls getting ready inside the hacienda, making the most of the gorgeous interior spaces. Olivia, her mom, and bridesmaids got their hair and make up done and each and everyone of them looked beautiful!


The guys weren't far behind, pulling themselves together in their own corner of the property.


Then, right as Jordan and Olivia were ready for their first look, the skies opened up and every single portrait spot I had scoped out the day before went straight out the window. I took them to a cozy corner of the property that was covered and they handled the rain like total champs, rolled with it, and kept the good energy going the whole time. That kind of easygoing attitude is honestly one of the best things a couple can bring to their wedding day!

The Ceremony


The rain stopped right before the ceremony. They got to say their vows outdoors just as they had hoped, surrounded by the lush grounds and their favorite people. It sprinkled rain during their first kiss and as they walked out of their ceremony the sun finally broke out! Everything about their wedding was memorable but moments like this will live in their minds forever!

Cocktail Hour & Reception


Cocktail hour at Hacienda Los Pablos is its own experience. Guests explored the grounds, mingled in the open-air spaces, and soaked up the beauty that Olivia planned so meticulously. Maddie and I roamed around and shot everyone enjoying each other's company. I even grabbed a couple cocktails and took them to the barn nearby to grab some cute detail shots with a pony!


By the time the reception kicked off, the energy was exactly where you want it. Great food, great music, people on the dance floor, and two people at the center of it all, Jordan and Olivia!

Why Hacienda Los Pablos?


I get asked a lot about venues, and I genuinely can't stop thinking about this one. A few things that make it stand out for photography:

The natural light here is incredible at golden hour. The property faces west, which means late afternoon sun hits everything just right. The variety of backdrops, from the lush gardens to the pool to the rustic hacienda architecture, means no two images look the same. And the scale of the property means there's always somewhere to slip away for portraits without losing the party.

If you're dreaming of a destination wedding that feels equal parts luxurious and laid-back, Hacienda Los Pablos is genuinely one of a kind. It's only about 15 to 20 minutes from La Parguera and Boquerón, and about an hour away from Rincon, so guests can make a full trip out of it.
